The Chocolate Factory

The Roatan Chocolate Factory is a small-scale chocolate company located in West End, Roatan, Honduras. Founded in 2010, its primary mission is to produce high-quality chocolate while supporting local indigenous communities and protecting the rainforest from which their cacao is sourced. The factory emphasizes the use of 100% organic cacao and aims to create the finest chocolate not only in Central America but also globally.

Cacao Sourcing

The cacao used by the Roatan Chocolate Factory comes from the Rio Platano Biosphere Reserve in La Mosquitia, a region known for its rich biodiversity and high-quality cacao. This area was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011 due to its ecological significance.

The Rum Factory

The Roatan Rum Company is situated between West End and West Bay on Roatan Island, Honduras. It is a popular destination for tourists seeking to experience local rum production and enjoy the beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea. The facility is located on high ground, providing visitors with stunning vistas of both sides of the island. Additionally, the nearby Roatan lighthouse, known as “El Faro,” offers an opportunity for visitors to enjoy a panoramic view of the area.

Jungle Top Zipline

Sloth Parks in Roatan
